As we've mentioned before, the drive mechanism and how it was going to power the gramophone/deck, had us all scratching our heads. One person though had it all in hand. Here he is talking through his creation...handy really because i wouldn't have been able to explain it to you.
Pure genius this is.


And here's what all that engineering looked like a couple of days ago.



In the course of 24hours we have gone from pessimists to optimists. It feels like the Musicle, if it works, is going to be the tool to beat. Here are some more images of the build.



As you can see, a lot of the mechanisms have been made by hand. The tricky part as he mentioned in the video, is getting the gearing correct so the cyclist's peddling turns the record at the correct 33 and a third.



And apart from the rear system, you can make out our vintage style Musicle sign. All coming together rather nicely.
